Common Questions
Everything you need to know about our guided walks through Ireland's historic gardens, estates, and natural landmarks
Absolutely. We design every route with mobility in mind, offering both gentle 45-minute strolls and longer 90-minute options. Most of our paths are on flat terrain with plenty of benches, and we keep groups small (maximum 8 people) so you can set your own pace without feeling rushed.
The waterfall walk is roughly 1.5 miles total, but it's spread over 2-2.5 hours with frequent stops to rest and take in the views. The path is mostly shaded by mature woodland, which makes it much more comfortable on warmer days. We don't rush to get there—the journey itself is the point.
Spring (April–May) and early summer (June) are stunning, but honestly, each season has its own charm. Late spring brings the full bloom of roses and herbaceous borders. Autumn offers golden light and fewer crowds. We run walks year-round, so you can choose what appeals to you most.
Yes, we welcome mixed-ability groups. Just let us know in advance so we can suggest the right route and potentially arrange alternatives if someone needs to sit out part of the walk. Our guides are experienced at working with different paces, and we always build in plenty of time to pause and enjoy the surroundings together.
We do. Our pet cemetery heritage walks are quieter, more reflective experiences—perfect if you're interested in the stories and history of these gentle memorial spaces. These are shorter walks (usually 45 minutes) on shaded paths, and they're particularly popular with people who appreciate the quieter side of garden exploration.
Comfortable walking shoes with good grip are essential, especially on woodland paths. We recommend layers—Irish weather changes quickly—and a light jacket or windbreaker. Bring a small water bottle and any medications you might need. Sunscreen is wise too, even on cloudy days. Our guides always have a first aid kit and know the terrain well.
